FARGO, N.D. — Mr. Royal Heupel, 84, of Fargo, N.D., formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in Fargo, N.D. He was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Eureka, S.D., to Julius and Ida (Guthmiller) Heupel.
He along with his wife were the former owners and operators of Marcel Royal Beauty Academy in Rogers. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Marcella Heupel.
He is survived by two sons, Craig (Pam) Heupel of Fargo, N.D., Ross Heupel of Frisco, Texas; one daughter, Debbie (Duane) Brudvig of Bella Vista, Ark.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark., with the Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will follow at Tuck's Chapel Cemetery in Rogers, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Royal's memory may be directed to Hospice of the Red River Valley, 1701 38th St. South, Suite 101, Fargo, ND 58103.

Mrs. Marcella "Marcie" Heupel, 72, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 27, 1931, the youngest of 11 children in Leola, S.D., to Fred and Katherine Guthmiller Bender.
She was owner and operator of Marcel Royale Beauty Academy in Rogers for 22 years after graduating from St. Joseph's Beauty Academy in 1971 in Fargo, N.D. Prior to coming to Rogers, she was an instructor at Robinson Beauty School in Brooklyn Park, Minn. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Royal Heupel; one daughter, Deborah Brudwig of Bella Vista; two sons, Craig Heupel of Fargo, N.D., Ross Heupel of St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Alvin Bender of Rogers and August Bender of Bismarck, N.D.; one sister, Emma Heupel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Stacy Clair, Melissa Guyll, Carly Gaddie, Chip Heupel, Kit Heupel, Matt Heupel; two great-grandchildren, Trey Guyll and Colin Clair.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Tommy Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuck's Chapel Cemetery at Rogers. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 14, 2004, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, 4520 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville, 72703.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 626 W. Olive, Rogers, 72756.
