Ira “Tiny” Vannatter, son of the late Buck Vannatter and Ader Sexton Vannatter, was born May 18, 1938 in Marked Tree, Arkansas. He departed this life December 9, 2014 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Ezma Rhea Hamon September 12, 1975. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he sold used cars, operated a tire shop and Tiny’s Rec Room in Calico Rock. He is survived by four brothers: Carl Vannatter (Della) of Calico Rock, Larry Vannatter of Mountain Home, Troy Vannatter (Barbara) of Norfork and Gary Vannatter of Norfork; four sisters: Dessie Carrol of Calico Rock, Shirley Tunnicliff (Harold) of Calico Rock, Edna Luster (late Odale) of Norfork and Wilma Galloway (Norman) of Calico Rock; six stepchildren: Jimmy Elledge (Dana) of Calico Rock, Jeannie Lindsey of Conway, Cindy Steward (Alan) of Calico Rock, Tina Lindsey (Keith) of Calico Rock, Cheri Piasio (Tom) of New Jersey ad Tammy Deeds of Calico Rock; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Funeral service will be Friday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers: Jason Downs, Mihcael Luster, Tommy Branscum, Payton Elledge, Chris Brandon and Merrill “Mud” Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers: Nephews and great nephews.
