Willis Henderson Porterfield, 81, of Anaheim, Calif., died Sunday in a local nursing home following a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and member of the Manning, Ark., Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Paul Porterfield of El Dorado and Harold Porterfield of Bakersville, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Jodie Lee Pittman of Benton, Mrs. Maudie McElhannon of Camden and Mrs. Emma Jean Rucker of Arlington, Tex.; two stepsons, Ernest Porterfield of Benton and Hester David of Anaheim; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Zella Ogden of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Dessie Porter of Sparkman; a sister, Mrs. Vergie Taylor of Sparkman; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Manning Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. D. W. Starks of Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in DeLamar Cemetery under direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mr. Porterfield. (El Dorado Times - November 1, 1969)
