DECATUR — Arch Raymond Roller, 93, of Decatur, Ark., died Jan. 18, 2013, at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Ark. Born Sept. 4, 1919, in Batesville, Ark., he was the son of Tom F. Roller and Julia Della Ellis Roller.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Marjorie Close on June 25, 1939.
Arch was owner and operator of the Roller General Store in Decatur until it sold in 1955. He worked for Peterson Industries for 47 years as a feed mill manager and later as a farm manager. Arch was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church, Decatur, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Alan Roller and wife, Nancy, of Tontitown, Ark.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with the Rev. Russ Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Ark. Memorial contributions may be made to the Decatur United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 709, Decatur, AR 72722.

Marjorie V. Roller, 84, of Decatur died Dec. 1, 2004, at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale. She was born on May 5, 1920, in Arkansas City, Kan., to Lewis and Eva Close.
She graduated from high school in Arkansas City. After graduation, her parents bought a small farm near Decatur. While there, Marjorie met her future husband, Arch Roller. They were married on June 25, 1939. They made their home in Decatur. During World War II, Arch was in the Army and Marjorie moved to California to live with her mother. She worked for Northrup Aircraft Co. as a riveter. She later returned to Arkansas City, where she worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator. When Arch returned from World War II, they moved back to their home in Decatur. Twin twins were born in 1949. Marjorie was a homemaker for many years. She later was employed with Peterson Industries and retired from the company after 20 years.
Marjorie was active in the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. She was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir. She was a Cub Scout den mother and was active in the PTA. Her interests included sewing, quilting, jigsaw puzzles and homemaking. She especially enjoyed baking. She loved living in beautiful Northwest Arkansas.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Arch Roller; twin sons, Alden Roller of Little Rock and Alan Roller and wife Nancy of Tontitown; sister, Marney Anderson of Checotah, Okla.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Angela Gage officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ivan Duncan, Jay Duncan, Dave Flynt, Lyle Auftin, Vernon Auftin and Bill Montgomery.
