GENTRY — Verona Earline Robinson, 90, of Gentry died April 27, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Nov. 3, 1918, in Charlie, Texas, to Earl and Patricia Harris Hix.

She worked at Gregston Nursing Nome in Marlow, Okla., for a number of years. She was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow. She moved to Arkansas in 1955 and was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Lee Robinson.

Survivors include a son, Philip Lee Robinson and wife Shirley of Moore, Okla.; two daughters, Joyce Jeanene Swarengin and husband Wayne of Decatur, and Lanita Sharon Robinson of Gentry; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Marvin Hix and Marion Hix; a sister, Glenda (Wing) King.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, with Larry Hendren officiating.

Burial will be in Falling Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
