February 24, 1835 - January 26, 1908
When Alexander "Elic" Caton was born on February 24, 1835, in Wheeling, West Virginia, his father, Alfred, was 30 and his mother, Sarah, was 25. He married Rachel Elizabeth Allison and they had two children together. He then married Mary Elizabeth Crawley and they had nine children together between 1882 and 1903. He died on January 26, 1908, in Arkansas, at the age of 72, and was buried in Strickler, Washington County, Arkansas.
