CENTERTON — Ralph William Powell, 82, of Centerton died July 23, 2008, at his home. He was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Hale, Colo., to Charles William and Mabel Watson Powell.
He was a 1946 graduate of Lamar (Colo.) High School. He retired in 1990 from RTW after 31 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a truck driver with the 76th Infantry. He was a member of the Rogers Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Powell and Ralph Powell Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Andy Powell and wife Glenda of Centerton and James Powell and wife Bunny of Cozad, Neb.; a daughter, Kathy Powell of West Fork; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com. Melvin Fowler will officiate.
Burial will be in the Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
