SILOAM SPRINGS — Bobby Joe Reading, 74, of Siloam Springs died Nov. 16, 2006, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Benton County to Marvin Fred and Eula Philpott Reading. He retired from Allen Canning Co. in Siloam Springs and was a member of Highfill United Methodist Church, He married Frances Rosa Sullivan on Nov. 16, 1951. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katelyn Rose Reading.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa of the home; one son, Michael Reading and wife Chris of Harrison; one daughter, Deborah Jo Kowalski and husband Edward of Portageville, Mo., seven grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin Dean Reading of Springdale and Linvil Reading of Springdale; two sisters, Shirley Phipps of Springdale and Pauline Garren of Vancouver, Wash.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Dean Reading, Linvil Reading, Edward Kowalski, Jeremy Reading, Kurt Griffis, Andrew Kowalski, Zeke Reading and Josh Brown.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com. Dewey Dykes will officiate.
Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Benton County.
