GENTRY — Vernon "Martin" Robeson, 74, of Gentry died April 5, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1931, in Cando, N.D., to Harold and Lucile Martin Robeson. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a teacher and a principal. He moved to Gentry in 1997. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry. His interests included coin collecting. He married Lauralee Litsey, on June 30, 1957. They were missionaries in Africa for eight years.

Survivors include his wife, Lauralee of the home; two sons, Bruce Robeson of Gentry and David Robeson and wife Elizabeth of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Janet Edelbach and husband Gene of Redlands, Calif.; his mother of Cando; five grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Rev. Ray House officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.

Lauralee Robeson, 82 year old resident of Gentry, Arkansas, died on July 5, 2014 at her home. She was born September 14, 1931 in Cando, North Dakota to Ray Litsey and Inger Urness Litsey. Lauralee married Vernon “Martin” Robeson on June 30, 1957 in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 49 years, teaching in North Dakota, Arkansas, California and Texas. Lauralee was awarded the Zapara Award for Teacher of the Year, while teaching in Texas. She also served as a missionary in Zambia, Africa for eight years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children: Bruce Robeson and wife Mardel of Gentry, Janet Edelbach and husband Gene of Redlands, California, and David Robeson and wife Elizabeth of Loma Linda, California; seven grandchildren: Celeste, Chelsea, Zachary, Ryan, Corbin, Kristen and Bryston; and one sister, Vivian Johnson of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan Edelbach, Corbin Edelbach, Bryston Robeson, Scott Queen, Brandon Borth, and Harrsion Hosteter.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., July 19, 2014 at the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church, Gentry, Arkansas with Pastor Werner Gil and Pastor Edwin Rosado officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., July 18, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
