Fred D. Demeter, 79, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, May 13, 1995 at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born April 24, 1916, in Kansas, the son of Henry Christopher and Myrtle Petty Demeter. He was a meat cutter and a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Anna Mae Demeter of the home; one sister, Leon Sunnerdick of Rudy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie L. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel.
