Obituary

Ray Parker, 69 of Conway, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2008. Born in Shirley, AR, on January 8, 1940, he was a son of the late Gordon and Ella (Bellamy) Parker. Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a building contractor and developer and owner of Ray Parker Construction in Maumelle. Ray was a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock and was on the Arkansas State Board of Home Builders.

An infant son David Ray Parker and five brothers: William, Leeman, Leonard, J.D. and Jackie also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda (Hammer) Parker; son Toby Parker and wife Martha of Quitman; daughter Missy Henderson and husband Roe of Conway; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Imogene Reynolds; brothers: Paul Parker, Cotton Parker and Did Parker and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building fund.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February10, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Ken Jordan officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, at the funeral home.
