Katherine J. Trower, 72, of Conway passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015. She was born March 03, 1943 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Katherine and John Kalinowski.

Katherine was a member of the National League of American Pen women, past member of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Writers Conference, past President of the Pioneer Branch of the American Pen women and a member of Friends of the Library. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway. She was a choir member for many years, an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, a minister of Consolation, Christian Ladies, Senior Saints, Perpetual Adoration, Adorer and a Scripture study facilitator. She was also a substitute teacher in Greenbrier and St. Joseph schools. She was also a Freelance writer with over 800 articles published throughout the United States.

Katherine is survived by two sons Jack L. Trower Jr. of Conway and Christopher R. (Priscilla) Trower of Benton; brother, Robert Kalinowski (Teri) Pittsburgh, PA, six grandchildren, Christopher R. Trower Jr, Joseph Trower, Jacob Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Krystal Trower, and Denver Cunningham; she also had seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Trower Sr. and daughter in law Sonja D. Trower.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Monday, September 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday evening at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Jack Lewis Trower, 61, of Conway died Sunday (Feb. 20, 2000) in Shreveport, La.

Born July 1, 1938, in Tulsa, Okla., he was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, the owner of Ridge Telecom and had been in the cable television business for more than 20 years. He was president and regional director of the Society of Television Engineers, founder and chairman emeritus of the board of directors of the Razorback Chapter of SCTE and served on the Arkansas Cable Association Board of Directors and on the Beaverfork Fire District Board. He was founder of the Trower Sweltering Golf Tournament in Dallas, was past secretary of the F&M Green Grove Lodge, a 32nd-degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish and York rites.

Survivors are his wife, Kathy Kelly Trower; two sons, Jack Lewis Trower Jr. and Christopher Raymond Trower Sr., both of Conway; four brothers, Jim Bob Alexander and Thomas Randal Trower, both of California, and Lawrence Joseph Trower and Gerald Allan Trower, both of Oklahoma; and five grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Leggett-Conway with the Rev. Joseph Deniger and the Rev. George Hudspeth officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bill Welter, Bill Trower, Robert Trower, Steve Christopher, Harold Kinnel, Bryan Young, Mike Rogers and J. L. Balch.
