Selby B. Tipton, 69, of Rogers died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1994, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Born Jan. 15, 1925, at Big Springs, a son of Sherman and Rachel DeGroff Tipton, he was telegraph agent for the Frisco Railroad and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans in Springdale. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Tipton of the home; a son, Sherman Allen Tipton of Rogers; two daughters, Brenda Kay Robertson of Rogers and Linda Faye Henry of Downsville, La.; a brother, Howard Tipton of Little Rock; a sister, Clara Hall of Cassville, Mo.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rollins Funeral Home with Jeff Simpson and C.A. Brown officiating, Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
