Helen Marie Smith Walker, 80, of Conway, left her family and friends peacefully to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2004.
She was born October 24, 1924 in Alpine, AR to the late Clyde and Mable White Smith.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles Walker, and two sisters, Arlene Kring and Maxine Hall. Mrs. Walker was a former librarian of Central Baptist College and very active in her role as a Baptist minister's wife.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Conway.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and James McClain of Greenbrier; her son, Jim Walker of Conway; two brothers, Herman Smith of Hope, AR and Homer Smith of Clifton, TX; five grandchildren, Renee Chastain of Houston, TX, Greg Chastain, Yvonne Sturdivant and Yvette Mahan, all of Conway, and Wade Walker of Indianapolis, IN; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. Rob Walker officiating.
Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway
