David Ladson WORLEY

Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery
Faulkner County,
Arkansas

June 7, 1952 - January 26, 2013
David Ladson Worley went to meet his Savior Saturday, January 26, 2013.
He was born June 7, 1952 in Artesia, New Mexico. He graduated from High School in Stratford, TX, and received a BBA in Accounting from Howard Payne University in Brownood, TX. David met and married Roxana Wise during their college years and they were married for 38 years.

David began his career in Accounting but soon found his niche in building, networking and writing programs for personal computers as the industry took off. He eventually owned and operated his own computer business in Conway, AR, for 10 years.

As David entered his retirement years, he was right in his element as an employee of Home Depot in Little Rock, where he repaired tools in the Tool Rental Department. If anyone needed a handyman, David could fix anything that was broken and was often called on by friends and family to construct or rig the most impossible creations. Among his many talents, he was an excellent woodworker, builder and an avid musician. For over 10 years he played bass guitar for a country and western band in Texas. Later, after moving to Arkansas, he formed a tight bond with friends, Mike Clark and Mark Stuart. They started a Christian band called the X-Heathens where he played the keyboard. Over the years David enjoyed playing piano with the church worship team, at family reunions and even for his own pleasure. He found joy and relaxation in building and flying remote control airplanes with his best friend, Lynn Ward. This hobby became his passion as Lynn became a brother to David.

David enjoyed life. He was known by many for the quips and sarcasm that would have you in stitches. He took every opportunity to visit family and go on family vacations, and every week he spent hours on the phone with his brothers and sister. His first priority was his faith in God followed by family and friends. Being around people was his preference, as he had many friends. David's smile, laughter and light-heartedness will truly be missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ladson Roscoe Worley and Billie Galloway Worley.
He is survived by his wife, Roxana and daugher, Angela Marie Worley Cate and husband Todd and son, Aaron Michael Worley and grandchildren, Regan Shey Cate, Caleb Todd Cate, Titan Alexander Cate, Adia Jubilee Cate and Salem Christian Cate all of Conway, AR. He is also survived by his sister Sheryl Kay and husband, Robert L. Young Jr. of Harker Heights, TX, brother Stephen Roscoe Worley and wife, Carol of Jenks, OK and brother Daryl Reid Worley and wife Christa of Waco, TX, nieces and nephews, Robin Young of West Monroe, LA, BJ Young and wife Alecia of Lubbock, TX , Jesse Rise of Tulsa, OK, Rachel Worley of Tulsa, OK and Greerson Worley of Waco, TX.

Services will be Friday, February 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Conway located at 1105 Deer St. Suite 1, Conway, AR. Visitation will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 801 8th Ave., Conway, AR from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013.
