FAYETTEVILLE — William P. Rose, age 79, of Fayetteville died Saturday July 7, 2012. He was born Aug. 14, 1932, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Thomas and Anna Edwards Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Rose.

He was a member of First Baptist Fayetteville, volunteered for numerous organizations, was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a dedicated servant of the Lord.

He is survived by one daughter, Cathie Rose Hotelling and husband, Darren, of Bentonville, Ark.; two sons, David Michael Rose and his wife, Pattie, of Nashville, Tenn.; John Thomas Rose and his wife, Eunice, of Los Angeles; one sister, Phyllis Bell of Edmond, Okla.; brother, Jack Rose of St. Joseph, Mo.; six grandchildren, Erik Rose, Max Hotelling, Madison Hotelling, Timothy John Rose, Kelly Bellar and her husband, Bryan, and Kalyn Winston; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Bellar and Bailey Bellar.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

There will be a private graveside service at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
