SPRINGDALE — Thelma Charlotte Weiss, 88, of Springdale died Jan. 20, 2007, in Springdale. She was born Jan. 31, 1918, in North Freedom, Wis., to Jacob and Anna Hackett.
She was a schoolteacher for two years in Wisconsin and she was a retired clerk for a telephone company. She enjoyed dancing, working crossword puzzles, playing Bridge and Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Weiss, in 2000.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Shepardson of Springdale; three grandchildren, MaryAnn Shafer, John and David Shepardson; four great-grandchildren, Daulten, Garryn, Sonnet and Everest Shafer.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville with the Rev. Don Elmore officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale, online at www.memfuneral.com. No visitation is scheduled.
