FAYETTEVILLE — Edith Irene Taylor, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Springdale Health and Rehab. She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Lamar, Ark., to Elmer Anthony and Etta Rankin Anthony.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Jack Taylor; brother, Wayne Anthony; and sister, Lois Hinkle.
She was a member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Tucker of Springdale; son, Parker Taylor of Springdale; sister, Rena Hoggard and husband, Bill, of Conway; brother, Gene Anthony and wife, Tommie, of Conway; grandchildren, Dustie Hill and husband, Doyle, of Springfield, Mo., and Jeremy Tucker of Bentonville; great-grandchildren, Chellsea Hill and Ashlea Hill; great-great-grandchildren, Josalynn Hill, Addison McCann and James McCann; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Sang Avenue Baptist Church, with Dr. T.O. Spicer officiating. The burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Memorials may he made to the Library at Sang Avenue Baptist Church, 1425 N. Sang Ave., Fayetteville, AR 72703.
