Opal I. Crownover, age 93, of Gassville, Arkansas went to be with her beloved Lord Jesus Christ Thursday, November 6, 2014, in Gassville. She was born March 13, 1921, in Whiteville, Arkansas to Howard and Thena (Reed) Powell.
Mrs. Crownover married Bob Crownover in Whiteville, Arkansas. She was a member of Cotter Church of Christ for 40 years. Her greatest joy in life was her love for the Lord, her large family and many friends. She will be remembered and loved by all, for her kindness, giving and loving ways. She retired from Baxter Lab after 10 years in production and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Crownover is survived by a daughter: Janet Czerwinski and husband Richard of Mountain Home, a sister-in-law Helen Crownover of Gassville, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons Lyle, Larry and Bobby (Lynn) Crownover, a brother Harlin Powell and a sister Pauline Edmonds.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014, at Roller Funeral Home with Brother Ron Davenport officiating. A visitation will be Sunday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whiteville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cotter Church of Christ or Hospice of the Ozarks.
