GREENWOOD — Christine Elizabeth Suter Stone, 81, of Greenwood, Ark., went to be with her Lord on Sept. 28, 20l3, at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Christine was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Hartshorne, Okla., to Jessie Edward and Lilly Elizabeth Suter.

Raised in the Hartshorne-Haileyville, Okla., area, she married Fred M. Stone on March 2, 1945, in Fort Smith. Ark. They were married three months short of 50 years and had five children. She was a member of the Greenwood Nazarene Church in Greenwood and active in the Nazarene Food Program.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Stone; her son, Freddie Jackson; her parents; two brothers, Frank and Jack Suter.

She is survived by four daughters, Lilly and Norm McFee of Springdale, Shirley and Bob Dugger of the home, Jean and LV Case of Altus, Ark., and Deb Callum of Texas; one brother; two sisters; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 1, 2013 at the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Brother James Jones will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.

Visitation will be held at the funeral today, Oct. 1, 2013, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the service.
