Grisham the son of William T and Hazel S Phillips. He a WWII US Army Veteran.

Alaire (Rice) Phillips, 88, of Benton died Sunday, April 24, 2005. She was a retired schoolteacher from the Benton Public Schools and a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Grisham A. Phillips, Sr.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia Ann Simmons of Clearwater, Florida; one son, Grisham A. Phillips Jr. and his wife Teresa of Benton; one grandson, John Corbett Simmons and his wife Sharmane of Dade City, Florida; one grandaughter, Courtney Alaire Sexson and her husband Micah of North Little Rock; one sister, Virginia Haley and her husband Andrew of Memphis, Tennessee; two nephews, Michael Freeze and Jeffrey Haley; one niece, Jennifer Raney; five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Phillips is predeceased by her sister; Lenelle McAllister; one grandchild, James Simmons; one great-grandchild, Clara Jade Sexson; and one niece, Diane Ford.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel (315-4047) in Benton with Bob Stuckey and Joel Lewis officiating. A committal service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Union cemetery in Cord (Independence County). The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday April 26, 2005 at the funeral home www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/ballard
