Son of Charles and Nancy (Hedrick) Taylor. Born in Imboden, AR, and raised in Harrisburg, AR. Married Mary Shockley of Harrisburg in 1929. Had 5 children; Billy, Bobby, Gary, Jerry and Mary Ellen. Raymond farmed in Harrisburg in the 1930's and 40's. Served in law enforcement for over 20 years in NE AR.
