FORBES, John L. - {from Canuck} Again the death angels have visited this section and taken from our midst one of our best neighbors, John L. Forbes, who died April 10th of measles and pneumonia. Mr. Forbes was about 50 years old and leaves a loving companion to mourn his loss. Mr. Forbes was a Virginian by birth. He was among our best citizens, always attended to his own affairs and was a good Christian man. He has gone to that heavenly home prepared for those who are faithful and always ready to do something for his cause. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and was buried at Clifty the 11th by the Odd Fellows.
