MISSION, Texas — Marion Clark "M.C." Tener, 90, of Mission, Texas, passed away on Sept. 23, 2012, in Edinburg, Texas. He was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Lyons, Kan., the son of Clyde O. and Florence Massie Tener.
He served in the United States Naval Reserve during World War II and worked in the oil industry most of his adult life. After retirement, he moved to Springdale, Ark., where he worked at Paradise Valley Country Club.
Survivors include his widow, Edie of the home; two children, Sue Thompson of Springdale, and Cliff Tener and wife, Ramona, of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Betty Ritterhouse of Hutchinson, Kan.; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Kingan Tener in 1991.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, Ark.
