Dean Browning, 68, of Decatur, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, at Rogers Living Center in Rogers. Born Jan. 29, 1926, at Decatur, the son of David Baker and Alice Bernadine Gordon Browning, he was a farmer, and a member of the United Methodist Church of Decatur. He was past president of the board of directors of the Farmers Coop, a member of the Decatur School Board for 15 years, past chairman of the Benton County Conservation District, a Boy Scout troop leader and held various church offices. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Beth Browning of the home; four daughters, Ann Davis of Edmond, Okla., Paula McGhee of Decatur, Karen Combs of Clairmore, Okla., and Kimberly Browning of Decatur; a brother, Dale Browning of Decatur; a sister, Marna Case Roberts of Gentry; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Decatur, with the Rev. Davida Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Falling Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Decatur.
