John Roland Martin, 78, of Gentry died Friday, June 17, 1994, at the Quail Ridge Nursing Home.
Mr. Martin was born Sept, 10, 1915, in Lena, Okla., a son of Charlie Pearl and Myrtle Dee Browning Martin. He was the widower of Ruby Norma Morris Martin, a farmer, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans. He served in the Seabees in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are a son, Daulton Roland Martin of Phoenix; two daughters, Wynell Walker of Van Horn, Texas, and Johnnie Burns of Gentry; two brothers, Troy Martin and James Vester Martin, both of Canyon, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery near Gentry by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
