Daniel S. Freeman, 74, of Siloam Springs, died Monday, June 28, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 16, 1919, at Avery, Texas, to Sim and Leila Cummings Warthen Freeman. A retired carpenter, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Gentry Masonic Lodge, the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies and the Harvard Avenue Baptist Church, Siloam Springs.
A son, Donald Freeman, died in 1990.
Survivors are his wife, Clara Ruth Boyle Freeman of the home; three sons, Rickey G. Freeman of Martinez, Calif., Theodore Howard Freeman of Siloam Springs, Johnny Guy Freeman of Fayetteville; three sisters, Olive Langley and Myrtle Dover, both of Lancaster, Texas, Monica Smith of Booneville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Jack Steele officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
