SALLY ANN SOLIS, 71, of Timbo, AR, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, AR. She was born on July 21, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA, daughter of the late Walter Kelt and Norma Jean Kelt.
Sally was an avid lover of animals. She and her husband, Manuel, had an abundance of dogs, cats, goats and horses. Sally was part owner of the Starlite Stables and Stud Services in Timbo. Besides working with animals, she also worked at the Iron Skillet Restaurant at the Ozark Folk Center as well as the Best Western Inn over the years since moving to Mountain View. Sally was a member of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her husband, Manuel Solis, Sally is also survived by a stepson, Fernando Solis Alvaravo, a stepdaughter, Lucia Solis Alvaravo, and four step-grandchildren, all of Mexico; and brother-in-law, Jose Solis and wife, Brandy; two special friends, Marae Khalil and Sherry Perkins along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment at Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Pipkin, Mateo Ponce, Alex Ruiz, Jose Jaime, Gerardo Jaime, Pedro Villanueva. Honorary pallbearers are Jose Balderas and Jesus Balderas.
