Margaret E. (Rains) Snapp, 88, went to be with Jesus on 10/29/2013. Six years ago Mom moved back to Arkansas from Ojai, California, and made her home in Mountain View. After several years of health problems, the Lord called her home.
Our Momma was the fifth of eight children born to Albert and Mary Belle (Isbell) Rains, on May 25, 1925 at Farm Hill, outside of Harrisburg, Arkansas. In 1945 she married, Molon B. Snapp from Desha (deceased). Nine children were born from this union.
Norma Jean, Jo Ann, and Carolyn Mae were born in Arkansas. Our family moved to Michigan City, Indiana in the fifties and, Connie Sue, Barnet Molon, Don Wayne, Donna Lee, Debra Lynn (deceased) and Tammy Lynn were born. Mom was a loving Momma, Granny to eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Mom had a hard life, losing her father at ten years old, but even as a child she knew Jesus. Through some turbulent years, her faith waned but she never denied Jesus and He brought her out with a strong faith and commitment. Mom loved Jesus and wanted everyone else to know Him. She was a wonderful, loving mother and from an early age she taught us about Jesus.
As a memorial, please tell Jesus you love Him every morning and at night and if you don't know Jesus as your Savior, please seek Him out. As Momma says, it sure is peaceful to know where you're going when you draw your last breath.
A viewing will be held at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home on October 31, 2013 7-9pm. The service will be held on November 1, 2013 1:00pm at the gravesite in Flatwoods Cemetery.
