Obituary
Lucille Bratton, age 99, died Friday, July 2nd in North Little Rock. She was born June 5, 1911 in Hiram, Arkansas to the late Wilks Norman and Nancy (Reed) Norman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Ralph Bratton; and four sisters, Mae Gromer, Lea Stanton, Irene Connell, Lois Fullerton; and a brother Buford Norman.

Lucille was extremely independent, living alone into her early nineties. She spent most of her adult years in Heber Springs. Although she held many varied jobs from housekeeper to shipyard worker throughout her life, she considered cooking her occupation. She operated several restaurants in Heber Springs through the forties, fifties and sixties She loved to fish, garden and tend to her flowers: but, most of all she loved family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Edna Lee Houston and husband David of North Little Rock, Arkansas; a son, Doug Bratton and wife Marlene of Little Rock, Arkansas; a grandson, Lance Bratton and wife Melissa of Little Rock, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Alexandria Bratton and William Bratton; four nephews, one niece; and several great nieces and nephews.

Lucille had the faith of one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
