Horace Caleb Mitchell was born on Dec 3, 1886 to Samuel Augustus Mitchell and Nancy Ermine Glidewell. He first married Octavia "Tavy" Westbrook in 1906 and he married Bernice Caradine on June 27, 1922. He was the father of Frank, Ord, Hugh, Gordon, Horace and Foy Mitchell.
