Obituary
Lillian S. Pearce was born on August 20, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away in Heber Springs on May 4, 2013, at the age of 93.

She moved to Searcy, Arkansas, in 1929 and graduated from Searcy High School in 1937. She attended Harding College and in 1939 married Harry Swartz. They lived in Batesville until 1950 when they moved to Heber Springs and Mr. Swartz served as local manager of the Arkansas Power and Light Co. until his death in 1957. She married Charles Pearce in 1969 and he died in 1988.

Mrs. Pearce was active in church and community activities until her later years. She was a member of the Heber Springs Study Club and the Extension Homemakers Club and taught young children in Sunday School at Heber Springs First Baptist Church. She served on the board of the Arkansas Cancer Society. Professionally, she was employed by the Cleburne County Times and Eden Isle and later was a local real estate agent. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and animals, especially her dogs and goats.

She is survived by two daughters, Gretchen Crawford and husband, Joe, of Heber Springs, and Karen Kimball and husband, Don, of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Stephanie Wells and husband, Kevin, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Susan Kimball and David Kimball and wife, Erica, of Dallas, Texas, and four great-grandchildren, Katie, Conner, Molly, and Matthew Wells.

A private burial will be at Heber Springs Cemetery.
