GOULD, Pearl - (by the New Hope correspondent) Again the death angel has paid our community a visit and has taken for his toll one of our sweetest and best loved young ladies. Miss Pearl Gould was born June 7, 1885 and died Dec. 19, 1918, aged 33 years, 6 months and 11 days. She lived and died on the farm where she was born. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, having been converted in her youth, and she lived her profession, being active in every good cause and will be greatly missed. She was sick nearly seven weeks with flu and complications. She leaves besides her aged father, familiarly called Uncle Eagleton, four brothers, M.L. Gould, Jacksonville, Tenn.; J.R. Gould, Spokane, Wash.; R.P. Gould and family, Miami, Okla. and Earl Gould and family of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Essie Coghill, Eldorado, Kan., who were all present at her bedside at her death and to whom we all extend our deepest sympathy in their sorrow. The funeral services were conducted at the home Friday afternoon by Rev. Peter Carnahan of Bentonville and Rev. Robert Guthrie of Rogers. She was laid to rest in the city cemetery beside her mother who died some 10 years ago.
