Amos Jordan, 59, of 660 Huntsville, died at his home today. He was born in Madison County May 4, 1907, the son of James and Biddie Ann Jordan and was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Anna Patrick Jordan of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Jeraldine Foster of Elkins, Mrs. Janie Williams of Huntsville, Mrs. Florence Garriott of Baldwin, Mrs. Joy Ashworth of Russellville and Mrs. June Long and Mrs. Janice Myers both of Fayetteville; one brother, Burt of Fayetteville; one half brother, Calvin Barker of San Lorenzo, Calif., and 19 grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Moore's Chapel.

FAYETTEVILLE — Anna Jordan, age 103, of Fayetteville died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at her home in Fayetteville. Anna went home to be with her heavenly Father after a long and Blessed life. She was loved and adored by her family and everyone who knew her. She had a kind and giving heart and lived for the Lord. Her time on earth was long and filled with Gods blessings. She will be missed dearly.
She lived most of her life in Fayetteville and retired from Campbell Soup in 1972 at the age of 65. She was born Aug. 22, 1907, to Sam and Katie Patrick in Crosses, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Amos Jordan; daughter, Geraldine Foster; infant sons, Samuel and James Jordan; brother, Charlie Patrick; half brothers, Dee and Lawrence Scroggins.
She is survived by five daughters, Janie Williams of Huntsville, Ark.; Joy Ashworth of Fayetteville, Ark.; Florence Garriott and husband Carlos of Baldwin; Janis Myers and husband Jimmy of Weddington; June Long and husband Bobby of Siloam Springs, Ark.; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sonora Baptist Church in Sonora and will be conducted by her grandson the Rev. Danny Williams. Burial will be at McCord Cemetery in Elkins under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be Billy D. Ashworth, Steve Long, Glen Williams, Todd Ashworth, Greg Long, Rocky Garriott, Lynn Williams, and Alan Myers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keley Ashworth, Jimmy Williams, Larry Garriott, and Kenny Williams.
The family would like to thank Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale for wonderful care and compassion, Nurse Pam; Aides, Gayia, Robe.
