Obituary
John R. Richmond, age 81, of Tumbling Shoals, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. John was born November 20, 1926 in Putnam, CT to the late Thomas H.M. and Helen Thatcher Richmond. He served in the US Army earning the World War II Victory medal. Flying and riding motorcycles brought much joy to John.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dot Richmond: sons, Warren Richmond and wife Teresa of Riverview, FL, Wayne Richmond and wife Sharon of Collierville, TN; daughter Debra King and husband Jim of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Justin, Jenna, Andrew, Grant, and Seth Richmond; and two brothers, Richard R. Richmond of Putnam, CT, and James M. Richmond of Summerville, FL.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Heber Springs Funeral Home, 1199 Wilburn Road (501-887-9152) with Dr. David Bush officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Visitation one hour before the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 11th and Pine Street, Heber Springs, AR 72543
