SPRINGDALE — Edna Mae Washburn Bennett, 78, of Springdale, Ark., went to heaven Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Regency Hospital.
Edna was born on Feb. 7, 1933, in Springdale, Ark., a daughter of Edwin Adelbert Washburn and Estella Marie (Slape) Washburn. She was a member of Harmon Assembly of God church and the Augustine Foundation. She was a proud homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Bennett; one son, Charles Douglas Henderson; one daughter, Barbara Elaine Sabatini; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Mae Simes of Coffeyville, Kan.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her mentoring will be greatly missed.
Graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Thornsberry Cemetery with the Rev. David Wasson officiating.
