Man Trying to Connect Lighting Killed
Rogers, Ark., Aug. 1-(A) William M. Stanford, 82, El Dorado an pipeline worker, was killed instanily last night when he touched a high voltage power transmission line 15 miles southwest of here.
Declaring the death was an accident, Coroner A. D. Callison
said Stanfield undertook to connect a light circuit from the line to a small farm dwelling he owned near Highfill. Mrs. Stanfield and a neighbor witnessed the accident.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanfield came here yesterday to spend his two weeks vacation at the farm property. In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, a brother and two sisters.
