Laura Louise (Mitchell) Hawkins was the daughter of Dr. Alphonso Franklin Mitchell and Sarah Ann Phillips. She married John Cicero Hawkins on Dec 1, 1875, in Saline County, Arkansas. She was the mother of; Walter William, John Lee, Sarah Rachel (Gatlin), Mary Nancy, Lula, Maude "Mandie", Samuel and Barnie Herbert Hawkins. Born Aug 28, 1859 in Saline County, Arkansas, Died Feb 21, 1914 in Traskwood, Saline, Arkansas. "Gone but not forgotten."
