A.L. Hubbard, 78, of Strawberry, died May 22, 2013, at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock.

Born June 21, 1934, in Saffell, he was the son of Lonnie Sr. and May McLaughlin Hubbard. He was a veteran and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maurine Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Smith and husband Mickel, Ash Flat, and Paula Burnes and husband David, Cabool, Mo.; a son, Jimmy Hubbard, Lynn; five grandchildren, Adrian Miesner, Andrea Harrelson, Conner Burnes, Courtney Burnes and Hamilton Hubbard; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry with Mickel Smith officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home of Lynn and Walnut Ridge had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Adrian Miesner, Conner Burnes, David Burnes, Jimmy Hubbard, Hamilton Hubbard and Josh Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Zac Smith, Barrett Harrelson and Terry Smith.
