Mrs. Effie M. DeLoach, 68, of 1002 E. Pecan St., died Sunday in a local hospital. Born Sept. 23, 1900, in South Carolina, she was the daughter of Wheeler and Ironnia Helms Mills. Survivors include a son, Ollie DeLoach, Magnolia; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Owens, Junction City, Mrs. R. V. Mason, Magnolia, and Mrs. C. C. Campbell, Crossett; two brothers, W. W. Mills, Summerfield, La., and Walter Mills, Gurdon; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Owens, Junction City, and Mrs. Ella Bailey, Summerfield, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Three Creeks Baptist Church with the Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Jolly Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Nephews will be pallbearers. The body has been taken to the Fred Owens home near Three Creeks. (El Dorado Times - December 16, 1968)
