Obituary
Joe Ray Sellers the son of James Madison and Mary Rice Sellers was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on December 6, 1942 and passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 4, 2007 at the age of 64 years. He was retired from the United States Navy having served in Vietnam and was retired from Lockheed Martin having served as a civilian in Desert Storm. Joe enjoyed writing humorous letters to the editor, traveling, attending sporting events, gardening and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Roy Sellers, one sister Jimmie Green and a son Scott Sellers.
Survivors are his wife Beverly J. McCabe-Sellers of Little Rock, Arkansas, a son Donald Sellers and wife Debbie of Orlando, Florida, a daughter Dawn Calcote and husband Gary of Leesville, Louisiana, a stepson Greg McCabe and wife Taffee of Texarkana, Arkansas and two step-daughters Laura McCabe Kuykendall and husband John of Little Rock, Arkansas and Katy McCabe and husband Brian Eck of Pasadena, California, two sisters Helen Porter and husband Hulin of Helena, Arkansas and Leona Johnson and husband Gene of South Haven, Michigan, a brother-in-law Eugene Green of Heber Springs, Arkansas and a sister-in-law Betty Thomas of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, six grandchildren: James Brandt, Joey Calcote, Daisy McCabe, Madison Kuykendall, Maddie Eck and Molly Eck, niece Gail Nixon of Jonesboro, Arkansas and nephews Jim Sellers of Truman, Arkansas and John Sellers of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
