Brig. Gen. Edward Schneider (USAF, retired), age 86, of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Heber Springs and Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, at his home. Born in Pryor, Oklahoma, on July 18, 1924, he was the son of the late Edward William and Bertha Lea (Treat) Schneider. Mr. Schneider retired from the United States Air Force and Air National Guard of Arkansas as a Brigadier General in 1981 after proudly serving his country for more than 38 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Schneider of Panama City Beach, Florida.
