Obituary
Carla L. Huson, age 46, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Heber Springs on February 27, 1965, she was the daughter of Carl Dial Huson and the late Luella Newton Huson.
Carla has lived in Columbus, OH, for the last 15 years where she was the behavioral specialist for Columbus Public Schools.
She was engaged to be married on 11/11/11 to David Fraser whom she has had a relationship with for the last 11 years. David is a middle school science teacher. Carla loved David's son Alec, who was a huge part of David and Carla's life and love together.
Prior to living in Columbus, Carla taught at Our Lady of Souls School in Little Rock, AR, for several years.
Carla was an avid sports fan and a great lover of books and the written word. She also loved to shop – especially for shoes! She was at her happiest when she and David were with close friends attending sporting events, laughing and socializing.
Carla graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, in 1986 with a Liberal Arts degree in psychology. One of the most important things to Carla was the lasting relationships she formed with so many dear friends at her alma mater. She was in Arkansas to attend her 25th college reunion at the time of her passing.
Carla is also a graduate of Heber Springs High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother Luella on April 8, 2004.
Carla is survived by her father and stepmother, Carl D. and Mary Huson of Heber Springs; two brothers, Harry Huson and his wife, Patti, of Irving, Texas, and Jim Huson and his wife, Teresa, of Fayetteville; her nieces and nephews; as well as her fiancé, David Fraser, his son, Alec, and his parents, Michael and Margaret Fraser
