Obituary - Josef
Josef Kalitowitsch, 91 of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at Advanced Care Hospital of White County in Searcy. Born March 13, 1922, in Weiskirchen, Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Franz and Maria Wersching Kalitowitsch.

Mr. Kalitowitsch was a retired interior decorator and painter for Lakeview Decorators. He was a former resident of the Chicago, Illinois, area and had been a resident of Seven Springs Nursing and Rehab in Heber Springs for the past five years. His religious belief was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kalitowitsch was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, who passed away in 2007; and by one son, Edmund Kalitowitsch.

Survivors are his three daughters, Luise Leopold of Quitman, Maria Brewer of Cabot and Anna Knuth of Gurnee, Illinois; six grandchildren, Connie Kick, Chris Frank, Andy Frank, Nickey Frank, Cooper Knuth, and Nolan Knuth; and six great-grandchildren, Devin Kick, Dalton Kick, Holly Frank, Madison Frank, Brook Frank, and Kaytlyn Frank. Mr. Kalitowitsch is also survived by his extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27 beginning at 10:00 a.m at Olmstead Chapel in Heber Springs with funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Deacon Bob Morris. Interment will follow in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons, family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Anna Kalitowitsch, age 82, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Pancevo, Yugoslavia, on
February 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Wilhelmina (Sernek) Novosel.

A former resident of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Kalitowitsch was employed by Steward Warner for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Donauschwaben German Club. Mrs. Kalitowitsch had been a resident of Quitman for the past four years, and her religious belief was Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Josef Kalitowitsch of Quitman; one son, Edmund Kalitowitsch of Cabot; three daughters, Luise Leopold of Quitman, Maria Brewer of Cabot, and Anna Knuth of Gurnee, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Connie, Chris, Andrew, Nick, Nolan, Cooper, Don, Natalie, Stephanie, and Whitney; and seven great grandchildren, Holley, Madison, Brooke, Nicole, Katlynn, Devin, and Dalton. Mrs. Kalitowitsch is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 26, from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Fr. John Agbakwuo officiating. Interment will follow in Cleburne County County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
