Obituary
Leslie Ray Thorn, 79, of Heber Springs died September 2, 2011. He was born April 28, 1932 to the late Dexter and Nelda Thorn of Wolf Bayou, Arkansas. He met his sweetheart and wife of 61 years while attending school in Concord, Arkansas. Mr. Thorn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs and spent his life loving God, his extended family and many friends.

He was a graduate of Concord High School. He had attended Tech School for two years learning air conditioning and boiler maintenance. Mr. Thorn also farmed some 10 years in Cleburne County and was a painting contractor from 1972 - 1994. He worked as Building Superintendant for Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for twelve years.

Mr. Thorn is survived by his wife Gwen Stuart Thorn; his son, Eddie Ward Thorn (Debbie) of Lakeview, Arkansas; his daughter, Teresa Lynn Reynolds (Terry) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Grandsons, Edward David Thorn and Stuart Aaron Mosley; granddaughter, Sara Bicker (Jed); great-grandchildren, Christian, Destinee, Ethan and Bella Thorn and Xavier, Chase and Erin Mosley.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2011 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation hours will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home.
