Lewis Jefferson Belcher, 70 of Van Buren passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in his home. He was a retired Chief Engineer for Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company, a member of the Heritage Methodist Church of Van Buren, a member of the Professional Engineers Club, a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Engineering. He celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary to Janice on October 14, 2011. He was the 1st baby born in Waldron in 1942.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Belcher of the home; one daughter, Julie Bynum and husband, Rodney of Van Buren; one son, Jeffrey Belcher and wife, Barbara of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Stacie Bynum and Savanna Bynum; one sister, Mary Martine of Pensacola, Florida.
Pallbearers will be Bob Housley, Jay King, Paul Parks, Darral Sparkman, Ronnie Walker and Tim Weege.
