Mrs. Lena Pauline Stover, age 79, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born at Hiram, Arkansas (in Cleburne County) on December 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Altom) Martin.
Mrs. Stover was a lifetime resident of Cleburne County. She was a former office employee of the telephone company, and she was an owner and operator of the Family Shoe Store in Heber Springs. For many years, Mrs. Stover was active in her family's shoe store business and her work, as well as being a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling. Mrs. Stover was a member of First Baptist Church of Heber Springs for sixty years and was also a member of the Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Martin, Orvil Martin, and Buil Martin.
Survivors include her husband, W. D. "Bill" Stover of Heber Springs; her son, Nick Stover and his wife, Rhonda, of Arkadelphia; her daughters, Lori Whisnant and her husband, Ricky, and Kathy Linder and her husband, Perry, all of Heber Springs; her brothers, Ernie Martin and his wife, Linda, of Sebring, Florida, and Virl Martin and his wife, Annelle, of Heber Springs; her sister, Vena Eason and her husband, James, of Searcy; five grandchildren, Justin Stover and his wife, Shannon, Karisa Hudnall and her husband, Scott, Cory Stover, Perry Lee Linder, III, and Amanda Whisnant; four great grandchildren, Eliza Stover, Genry Stover, Haydyn Lee Hudnall, and Kallie Rose Hudnall. and her nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stover is also survived by her many friends and other family members.
