Mrs. Dixie G. Whitaker, age 100 of Gassville passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center. She was born December 3, 1913 in East Cotter, Arkansas to (William McDonald) 'Mack' and Eva (Cramer) Medley. She married Oscar Whitaker in 1933.
Mrs. Whitaker was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home.
She is survived by a son Bill (Norma) Whitaker of Raytown, Missouri, a daughter-in-law, Carol Whitaker of San Antonio, Texas, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar Whitaker in 1996, a son Jay Whitaker and 11 brothers and sisters.
A graveside funeral service, conducted by Reverend Rodney Steele will be held 10:30 AM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Gassville Cemetery.
