One of the most sad and awful deaths which it has ever been our painful duty to record in these columns is, Dulce Margarett Hancock, the sweet little four year old daughter of our friends Mr.& Mrs.M.V.Hancock, which deplorable event occcured on Sep.18,1898. She came to her untimely death from membraneous croup, and had only bill ill a couple of days. Everything that the skilled physician or the love of parents or friends was done for her relief. But the stubborn malady resisted all efforts, and she gradually choked to death. The remains were laid to rest in the Forrest City cemetery, Rev.A.E.Holloway officiating.
