Denver W.McGee, 75, of Memphis, Tenn., died early morning, April 6,1972, at Kennedy Veterans Hospital in Memphis. He had been seriously ill and in the hospital for the past two weeks. Born May 14,1896 in Asheville, N.C., he was the son of Mrs.Matilda Cassady McGee and James Linnville McGee. He had lived in Memphis since 1926. He was a retired bookkeeper, a member of the Christian church, a veteran of WWI and was married to Miss Edith Pettitt. Survivors include his widow, a son, Lynn T.McGee of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs.Jack Sellers of Memphis, and a grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Friday with Rev. Edwin Rountree conducting the services. Burial will be in Forrest City cemetery.
